In July 2025, the Lab for Social and Human Capital Studies signed a landmark Memorandum of Agreement with Eval Lab, a France-based research group specializing in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and impact evaluation.
This partnership aims to build the capacity of the Lab’s researchers in designing, implementing, and analyzing RCTs, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based impact assessments and joint academic publishing. Through this collaboration, the Lab will expand its ability to conduct both small- and large-scale RCTs across Central Asia, while contributing to the global academic community and increasing the visibility of Uzbek scholars in top-ranked journals.
This partnership builds upon a successful history of collaboration: ERGO Analytics, the founding organization of the Lab, previously worked with Eval Lab to deliver the largest RCT ever conducted in Central Asia, involving 36 schools as part of the USAID-funded Youth Employment Skills (YES) program from 2022 to 2025.
This agreement marks a new chapter in promoting rigorous, policy-relevant experimental research across the region.
