As part of our broader Financial Literacy Initiative, the Lab is conducting an in-depth research study examining the multifaceted effects of financial literacy on rural populations across Sirdarya, Ferghana, and Tashkent regions. Using primary data collected through structured household surveys, this study investigates how financial literacy influences key financial behaviors, including saving, borrowing, and retirement planning. It also explores critical dimensions such as financial resilience, household vulnerability, over-indebtedness, access to fintech solutions, and overall financial inclusion.

This research aims to generate evidence-based insights to inform policy and programmatic efforts targeting financial empowerment in rural communities. The findings will contribute to national and regional strategies focused on building more financially capable and economically secure households.
